Kodava Naad and it's Flag
Kodava Naad - Coorg was a Princely State before it's much debated merger of 1956 with Karnataka, prior to this Coorg didn't have any official flag, but the Paleri rulers had a Saffron flag with their State Emblem on it, But eventually the East India Company took over the control of KN, which led to the usage of common "Union Jack", which was hoisted in every official building of KN, but in the Mid 1990's the separatist or freedom movement for a Separate Kodava Land state emerged and the outfit used a Black Flag with Kodava symbol on it , (As Per Sources), but after few years the outfit changed their demand from a Separate Statehood to Autonomous Region, this led to change in their Flag also, although the outfit is a popular movement in KN, due to the influence of Migrants from Karnataka, the Kannada Flag started flying in every corner of KN, After due consideration the need for a Kodava Naad flag emerged for the very identity of Coorg, Many youths took up thi
